Cummuns clutch replacement
« on: February 23, 2020, 08:00:07 AM »
Is it hard to replace a clutch in a Dodge Cummins? Do I need any special tools? I don't have a lift can it still be done on the ground?
Thanks for any info.

The biggest thing is the weight. The 6-speed weight is over 400 pounds. You don't need any special tools and it can be done in a driveway.
The bolts are easy to get to and there is a lot of room under the truck. I did mine without lifting the truck at all.

You don't have to take the transmission all the way out you just have to move it back enough to get to the clutch.
